Brewery Visits

What a great last few days! Dan is out of work due to a shoulder surgery, so on Thursday we decided to take a trip to Binder Park Zoo and we followed it up with a visit to Arcadia Brewing

This was a new brewery for both of us, and it was a great experience! It had a very open environment, lots of beers to choose from, and DELICIOUS food! I went with a turkey club, which was better than most I’ve had, and Dan had one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve ever tried.

I had a Whitsun and Dan had an Angeler’s Ale, both of which were delicious. I definitely preferred the Whitsun, as it was a very light and summery beer.

Saturday we went to a Whitecaps baseball game, but first we went to Harmony Brewing and used the gift card my brother and his wife had given me. My brother is the head brew-master at Harmony, and I always enjoy getting to go and enjoy there AMAZING pizza.

Dan went with the Good Earth pizza, and I enjoyed the Crispy Pig. Both are amazing choices in different ways! I indulged in one of my favorite cocktails ever, The Dude Abides. An amazing combination of root beer, Kahlua, and baileys. I could have easily had a second! I then enjoyed an Aphrodisiale – a great chocolate Porter. It was a lot different than I expected, but delicious! Dan enjoyed a Weissenborn, which was a great orange wheat. Everything was amazing!

Overall, it was a great weekend and so great to get out and try a new brewery and visit an old favorite!
