Looking for a clean and delicious breakfast? This french toast is made with clean ingredients, and came together in a snap!

I indulged a little with the powdered sugar, so by leaving that off this would remain a “clean eating” dish. However, we all have to let ourselves indulge once in a while!

This french toast is so simple! Mix together 1 egg, 3/4 cup lactose & fat free milk (or almond milk, soy milk. basically whichever milk you use on a regular basis will work!), 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Dip 2 slices of whole wheat bread in the egg mixture, just enough to coat, then flip to coat the other side. You don’t want to let the bread soak in the egg mixture, so a quick dip is fine!

Cook the toast in a skillet, about 5 minutes each side over medium heat.

I topped mine with sliced strawberries and powdered sugar, but the possibilities are endless! Try some organic honey, maple syrup, blueberries, or any other fruit you enjoy. What a great way to start the day!
